About the Club
Founded in 1986 for the promotion of the registered New Forest Pony as an all-round performance pony, the New Forest Pony Enthusiasts Club (NFPEC) is affiliated to British Riding Clubs, Area 17.
We are based in the New Forest and are affiliated to British Riding Clubs. We have around 150 members, both adult and juniors, who participate in a wide range of events both within the New Forest and further afield and we actively seek to publicise the achievements of our members and their ponies to give the breed a higher profile in public awareness.
The riding club is open to all ages, with riding and non-riding members welcome. We also host a variety of events and activities, including an annual open show, dressage, jumping, clinics & training, pleasure rides and also a variety of non-mounted social events. As well as this we also participate in BRC area competitions, including showjumping, dressage & hunter trials and have seen some good results both as a team and from individual members.
We participate in Riding Club area competitions, including show jumping, dressage & hunter trials and we organise professional instruction for all levels throughout the year. As well as this we also organise pleasure rides, a variety of non-mounted social events and an annual Summer Show which is open to all, with showing classes, dressage and showjumping.

New for 2024: Following a vote at our AGM we have decided to trial opening up our membership to part-bred horses and ponies that are registered 50% New Forest Pony. Eligible horses/ponies will need to send a copy of their passport as verification of parentage along with their membership form.
